Greek Landscapes

This photo was taken on top of the acropolis looking out across the city scape. In the back you can see the landscape of the mountainous region stretching inland.

A place to Worship

This was one of the most grand and lavish churches anyone could ever see. This is St. Peter's in the Vatican City. The outside alone is enough to look at for days, but include to surrounding plaza and it is magnificent.

Roman Holiday

Still shot of the Colosseum from a closer perspective. I took so many pictures of the Colosseum that day, but none have been able to show what it actually felt like to see it.

When in Rome...

These soldiers were all part of the picture opportunities placed outside the Colosseum. It was five euros to get your picture taken with them. Their job was to stand outside and take pictures with the tourist. However, during their "slow" times many of them would just chat and smoke a few cigarettes.

In Our Backyard

Walking out the back of the castle through the inner Bailey, there is an unbelievable amount of flowers growing. Spring has come very fast and now it's finally at the castle.

Nightfall in Greece

This night shot was taken on a cruise ship on our way back to mainland Greece. Almost immediately after this shot was taken, the sky got very dark and the temperature went from warm to very chilly. It's amazing what kind of energy the sun can generate.

If you Can-can-can!!

The lights outside the Moulin Rouge are amazingly bright. I took this normal shot and lightened the highlights so that it is difficult to see anything other then the lights. Next I used the watercolor feature to liquefy the look of the lights.

Motion in the Ocean

This picture was taken at the beach in Athens, Greece. The sand was fine and the water was chilly. This motion shot shows the waves breaking on the shore (however small they were that day).

Almost Famous

One of our days in Rome we visited the Vatican museum thinking we would just see the Sistine Chapel. However, we got to see a lot more ceilings that had just as interesting paintings on them, many of which were gold...maybe not as famous as the Sistine. Here is one of the long hallways leading to the Sistine Chapel. It was one of the coolest things we saw that day; this is why I chose it for my low angle shot.

My Floating Pod Above the City

I took this picture while my parents and I rode the London Eye. It has the highest views in the city and you can see for miles in every direction. I took this shot looking down at one of the other pods (foreground). In the background you can see the tops of many buildings and the boats in the river.
